Domaine Jean-Louis Chavy

This Domaine was founded in 1820, when Charles Chavvy produced the first wine. For generations the Domaine has grown with new vineyards. When the father retired, the vineyards were divided between his sons Alain and Jean-Louis Chavy. They now use the vineyards made by their grandparents and father 50 years ago: in fact, the vineyards in the Puligny Montrachet of Jean-Louis Chavy are now all between 40 and 50 years old. Jean Louis Chavy owns vineyards in the village of Puligny-Montrachet. He has 4 vineyards in the Premier Crus Les Perrières, Les Clavoillons, Les Champs Gain and Les Folatières. 2004 is the second vintage that Jean-Louis Chavy produces alone; before that it was produced by his father, his brother and himself together.
