Passerina Bio IGT Stelvin Cap 2019 - Santa Barbara
Passerina Bio IGT Stelvin Cap 2019 - Santa Barbara
The wine is born in Barbara (AN), at 200 m above sea level, on medium-textured clay soil. It is harvested in mid-September and ferments in steel. It is aged 4 months in steel and 1 month in the bottle. A wine that maintains the right balance between structure and acidity, while at the same time managing to develop an unexpected mineral note that is as convincing as it is personal. Straw yellow in color with lighter reflections, the nose expresses beautiful floral and fruity notes, fragrant and pleasant. On the palate it is fresh and balanced, just savoury and quite persistent. Excellent in closing, with good cleanliness.
Saint Barbara
The Santa Barbara winery is deeply linked to the land, tradition and cults where it arose. In the 6th century, in fact, when the current city of Senigallia was under Byzantine rule, a “Lombard” outpost managed to establish itself in the nearby village. That village then took the name of “Barbara” where the company is still based today. The profound respect for the land and the continuous tendency towards innovation are the pillars on which Santa Barbara stands, with the aim of improving the quality standard of the raw material every year. It is in this context of great dynamism, without neglecting tradition, that Stefano Antonucci’s wines come to life in Santa Barbara, assisted by the trusted winemaker Lorenzo Lorenzetti and his team composed of Renzo, Roberto and Daniele. Stefano Antonucci has been defined several times as “a visionary and eclectic winemaker, in the constant search for stylistic completeness” capable of best interpreting the most intimate values of a fascinating territory like that of Ancona. Santa Barbara, or elegant and dynamic wines, modern without being flirtatious, always characterised by a particular finesse.
