Fiano is a very ancient vine, known and already cultivated by the Latins in southern Italy. It is believed that its origin is in the areas of Lapio on the hills east of Avellino. Fiano is one of the best expressions of Campania wines. This Fiano di Avellino Pendino, with warm and enveloping aromas, is born on medium-textured sandy soils in the Arianiello district. Straw yellow color with greenish reflections, while on the nose it stands out thanks to evident varietal characteristics of flowers and menthol with light returns of moss and fern. On the palate it is a complex but drinkable wine with a pronounced persistence.
Hills of Castelfranci
Castelfranci is a small village in Alta Irpinia, 30 km from the capital Avellino. Thanks to its geographical position, the village is surrounded by lush spontaneous vegetation, vineyards that produce the grapes of the most classic Aglianico and Taurasi Docg wines, and olive groves. Immersed in the greenery of the typical vineyards of the area, the Cantina Colli di Castelfranci is a winery created by young people who are passionate about their work and who strongly believe in the potential of their land. The company was born from the union of the Gregorio-Colucci families, winemakers since always and great lovers of their land, who since 2002 have combined tradition and technology, making and bottling their own grapes and, with the construction of a modern cellar, producing refined wines intended exclusively for catering. The enthusiasm of the young company, the dedication to work and above all the high quality of the products, make the Cantina Colli di Castelfranci one of the most important companies in the production of fine wines in the Campania region.
