Etna Bianco 2019 - Tenuta Delle Terre Nere
Etna Bianco 2019 - Tenuta Delle Terre Nere
The first time I made this wine was in 2005. Basically I wanted to remove the white grapes that, in the old vineyards, it was customary to plant in small quantities mixed with the red ones, to make my Etna Rosso from only Nerello. The white grapes were a mixture of native vines: Carricante, Catarratto, Inzolia, Grecanico and Minnella. And from the assembly of these grapes, with a prevalence of Carricante, my Etna Bianco was born. And it is still like that. All from old vines. And somehow it works. A perfect, delicious wine. With the spontaneous grace of a dancer, it never loses its brightness and its step. Subtly drinkable, as it ages, the nobility of its terroir emerges with determination. And the grace becomes thoughtful and profound, but always graceful, never redundant. With fish, chicken, rabbit. With ham and melon, salami and figs. With fish first courses, risotto. It has great versatility.
Black Land Estate
Tenuta delle Terre Nere is the fruit of over thirty years of passion and profession in the world of great wines. And where I try with all my virtues to express in purity in our wines the very refined and multifaceted Etna microcosm. All with respect and meticulous care, often heavily manual, in biological balance since always. Given the extreme climate, to obtain an ideal maturation, meticulous care in the vineyard becomes fundamental. And it is precisely this, a very high concentration in the work of the vineyards, that distinguishes our estate and that allows us, having a raw material of absolute excellence, a minimal work in the cellar, aimed above all at ensuring that the characteristics of the vine and its specific microclimate are expressed at their best in each wine.
