Bourgogne Cuvèe Latour 2018 - Latour
Bourgogne Cuvèe Latour 2018 - Latour
A young but austere white, like the steep slate mountains on which its grapes grow. Deeply German, intense and elegant, it marries perfectly with your desire to share a toast of great class, but with the vivacity of those who know how to enjoy life. Straw yellow to the eye, its aromas of white peach will give you immediate sensations of freshness and a youthful desire to party. Only after that come the citrus notes and hints of elderflower, to complete a journey sublimated from the first taste. In which the marked minerality gives way to notes of ginger that will ignite your passion.
Weingut Van Volxem
Anyone who thinks Germany is just a land of great beers should prepare for a colossal surprise. At the foot of the Vosges mountains, in the Saar Valley, lies Wiltingen. For centuries it has been home to a Jesuit monastery, which gave new owner Roman Niewodniczanski a new, brilliant and incredibly ambitious idea: to become a point of reference for wine at a Central European and then global level. A vision that took shape when he took over the company that the Van Volxem family had run for four generations. And which today blends traditions rooted for two millennia with the most modern technological discoveries. The project has grown enormously over the years, especially since Dominik Völk was hired as general manager. A revolution that is starting to resemble an empire, which today is based on 65 hectares of vineyards in the heart of Europe, where Germany borders France and Luxembourg. The cool microclimate of the area, the steep slate slopes and the attention of Roman Niewodniczanski give special wines. Born from the cold, but able to warm you thanks to a meticulous workmanship: harvests in October, physiological maturation and spontaneous fermentations.
