Today we are used to increasingly creative cocktails, made of fermentations and experiments and re-distillations and revisitations. But above all we are used to drinking the same drinks from aperitif to after dinner, always the same ones, without any distinction. We have forgotten something that until a few years ago was fundamental: every moment of the day has its cocktail . Breakfast included.

For this reason, Salvatore Calabrese, a well-known barman, has also invented a cocktail called "Breakfast Martini" made with orange marmalade (the reference to breakfast), gin, Cointreau and lemon. No, it does not replace a balanced breakfast. Seriously. We do not recommend drinking only that on an empty stomach.

And if you overdid it the night before, you can start again in the morning, although here we need to make a distinction between those cocktails to sip in the morning to arrive at work feeling cheerful and those that are supposedly anti-hangover.
