Red wine, dry and slightly tannic, with aromas of plums and cherries accompanied by a light spiciness. It comes from a soil deriving from the discharge of ancient glaciers. Harvested in early October, it ferments in steel and after a hot post-fermentation maceration with pumping over, it ages in amphora.
Rosset Terroir
The company's history began in 2001, when the Rosset family decided to cultivate the land they owned in Senin di Saint-Christophe as a vineyard. The first plot cultivated was about three hectares and saw the international Chardonnay vines planted first, followed by Syrah and the native Cornalin. In expanding the range, Petit Rouge was planted, a native vine carefully selected by Matteo Moretto, the company's agronomist and oenologist. In recent years, the company has invested in the Chambave area (with two hectares of Moscato Bianco vines) where Chambave Muscat Vallée d'Aoste DOP is born, and in the Villeneuve area where Petite Arvine and Pinot Gris are grown at over 900 metres above sea level, in the places that best represent the concept of "heroic viticulture". This small private company, closely linked to the Aosta Valley region, has managed to distinguish itself and carve out an important space for itself in the winemaking sector in just a few years, bringing the Aosta Valley to the most important international stages.
